Caregiver/CNA (Part-Time) - Eagle's Pointe

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive working relationship with residents, family members and staff
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
• Aid with daily living activities to ensure the patient is cared for, including turning and ambulating patients and delivering food and beverages
• Help patients with personal hygiene tasks such as providing bedpans and assisting with bathing
• Provide additional patient care as needed, including delivering ice packs and dressings for therapeutic sessions
• Monitor and record food intake, urinary and fecal output, and share this information with key medical and nursing staff
• Work with other professionals to process and utilize a wide range of information, collaborating with physicians, caregivers, and nurses
• Utilize infection control precautions and practices during all activities
• Know and follow fire and emergency procedures, reporting all safety violations

Requirements

• Passion for the senior population
• High School diploma or GED
• State Certified Nursing Assistant Certification
• Current CPR Certification (American Heart Association) preferred
• Basic computer skills
• The ability to think and work independently, with direction from a team leader or manager, while maintaining efficient and consistent communications at all times
• Excellent oral communication skills when interacting with other health professionals in the presence of residents (i.e., "bedside manner")
• The ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and maintain a calm, professional demeanor
