Caregiver (CNA/CHHA) - Part Time

About the Role

The Caregiver (CNA/CHHA) will report to the Health & Wellness Director. This is a part-time, non-exempt, hourly position.

Schedule

• Part-time shifts: 7am–3pm, 3pm–11pm, and 11pm–7am

Pay

Salary range: $21.00 – $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident’s care plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities.
• Provide resident care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in their care plan.
• Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents.
• Escort residents to meals and activities.
• Ensure all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts.
• Document all services provided to assigned residents during your shift.
• Report any change of condition in a resident immediately to your supervisor.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA).
• Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population; dementia experience preferred.

Physical Abilities

• Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell.
• Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents; proper body mechanics must be used.
