About the role

As Caregiver at The Palms of Mt. Pleasant, you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on care and physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.
  • Monitor a designated group of residents during shift; ensure awareness of whereabouts and conduct frequent checks.
  • Provide daily personal care support, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, and eating assistance.
  • Respond to security system and resident call bells promptly.
  • Help residents maintain independence while promoting dignity, safety, and overall well-being.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident rooms and work areas.
  • Offer companionship, encouragement, and emotional support to residents.
  • Engage residents in meaningful life skills activities and enrichment programs.
  • Notify supervisor and/or health care coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Prior experience working with seniors preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with residents, team members, and leadership.
  • Compassionate, resident-focused approach with superior customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Pay

$18 per hour

Schedule

Part-time; weekdays and rotating weekends, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
