CAREERS and TRIO Manager

Job Responsibilities

• Budgeting, selection criteria and services, inventory, equipment, monthly reporting, orientations, workshops, semester update sessions, job shadowing, and coordination with college departments and external agencies for the CAREERS Program.
• Managing and supervising CAREERS staff to ensure grant objectives are met.
• Serving as the College Perkins Administrator to the SC Technical College System, monitoring data collection, fund utilization, and expenditures for college and state reporting of Perkins Grant, including meetings with vice presidents, grant finance department, academic deans, department heads, faculty, staff, Midlands Education and Business Alliance (MEBA), and other necessary constituents.
• Preparing, writing, and submitting the annual Perkins local application, quarterly reports, year-end report, and amendments.
• Interacting regularly with State Tech regarding Perkins legislation, ensuring conformity of state and federal guidelines, and attending professional development.
• Supervising the directors of TRiO Programs, coordinating grant application and reporting requirements, and providing assistance relevant to college and community issues and needs related to TRiO program compliance and goal attainment.
• Overseeing the monthly reporting of TRiO Programs.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• A master’s degree and experience in student services programs.
• Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, two years of experience in student services programs, a master’s degree, previous community college experience, supervisory experience, and federal grant experience including Perkins.
