About the Role
As a Support Advisor for Career Services, you’ll guide students and graduates through their career journey. You’ll assist with résumé polishing, interview skills, job search navigation, and celebrating job offers. This role is ideal for confident communicators, relationship-builders, and motivators passionate about student success.
Responsibilities
- Mentor and support graduates to ensure they obtain gainful employment in their program of study.
- Provide centralized support for all aspects of graduate career assistance, including career counseling, interview skill building, graduate outreach, and verification of employment follow-up.
- Manage the VOE inbox, processing employment documentation as needed.
- Assist with identifying local and graduate employment opportunities and populating job boards.
- Create resumes for active students and graduates.
- Support employment services tasks for the home office and campus teams as needed.
- Prepare students for the industry with mock interviews, resume preparation, career counseling sessions, and support.
- Maintain high employment rates by engaging with students and graduates through various channels and leveraging the EDGE team to connect them with potential employers.
- Ensure compliance with ACCSC standards and state guidelines by accurately documenting students' and graduates' employment records.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 4-year degree in a related field preferred but not required.
- 2-3 years of experience in the education field preferred but not required.
Skills
- Ability to advise and guide adult students in academic and life-skill matters.
- Computer skills (e.g., Word, Excel).
- Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Abilities
- Must be able to use a keyboard and perform manual tasks for prolonged periods throughout the workday.
- Available for flexible hours and some Saturdays.

Pay
$52,000-$54,000/yr
Insurance eligibility starts the first of the month following completion of one full month of employment.
