About the role
The Career Center at Patrick & Henry Community College supports Student Success and Workforce Readiness by delivering comprehensive career services that align academic programs with industry needs.
Responsibilities
- Leadership as a MET administrator, providing strategic coordination of Career Advising, Job Placement, Resume Development, and Work-based Learning for students and the community.
- Promote integration of real-world experiences into the classroom through partnerships with faculty, staff, and industry leaders.
- Develop and sustain meaningful work-based learning opportunities with industry leaders, employers, and community organizations.
- Advise students on career pathways and support job placement efforts.
- Collect and analyze data on student outcomes and employer engagement to continuously improve services.
- Connect students with real-world opportunities by aligning academic experiences with workforce needs.
- Foster inclusive access to career opportunities, manage multiple partnerships and priorities, and support diverse student populations in achieving employment outcomes.
- Evaluate and enhance programs, advocate for students, and build sustainable pipelines between the college and industry partners.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related field demonstrating the ability to perform essential functions of the job.
- Comprehensive knowledge of workforce development trends, employer expectations, and effective work-based learning models.
- Understanding of how academic programs align with industry standards and labor market demands.
- Strong skills in building and sustaining partnerships with industry leaders, employers, and community organizations.
- Effective communication, collaboration with faculty to integrate industry experiences into the curriculum, and organizing career events and networking opportunities.
- Ability to collect and analyze data related to student outcomes and employer engagement.
Qualifications
- Education, training, and/or work experience equivalent to a Master’s degree in a related field.
Skills

Benefits
Patrick & Henry Community College offers a competitive salary range of $80,000-$90,000, with benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
Pay
$80,000 - $90,000 annually
Schedule
Primarily Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; evening and weekend work may be required periodically.
