Grant-funded, full-time position located in Crestview, FL at the DOC – Okaloosa Correctional Institution.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and interpret assessments.
  • Deliver the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum and other programs as determined by the Department.
  • Provide cell-front instruction for eligible participants in restrictive housing through Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments.
  • Maintain and document services delivered.
  • Report monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions using the Department’s approved form, DC5-149 “Correctional Daily Attendance Roster.”
  • Provide pre-release connections to community providers and employers for inmate release planning services to facility release officers.
  • Assist Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development through face-to-face and technology-based interactions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in workforce development, social services, or corrections field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Preferred: Associate’s Degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.

Pay

$41,200.00 annually.
