About the role
As a Career Development Specialist, you’ll play a key role in providing services related to Compass 100 Hybrid and supplemental in-cell assignments through cell-front instruction for eligible participants who are in restrictive housing as directed by the Lead Educator.
Responsibilities
- Administration and interpretation of assessments;
- Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum;
- Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department;
- Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered;
- Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department’s approved form, DC5-149 “Correctional Daily Attendance Roster”;
- Providing information pertaining to pre-release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services to facility release officer’s; and
- Assisting the Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development through face-to-face and technology-based interactions.
Requirements
- An Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university or a high school diploma, and
- Two (2) years of professional experience in the workforce development, social services or corrections field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
Qualifications
- An Associate’s Degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.

Pay
$41,200.00 Annually
