Position Summary
The Career Counselor is responsible for developing and managing new employer accounts within various job markets for the purpose of creating employment opportunities for program participants. The Career Counselor provides career exploration, targeted job coaching and support to program participants, preparing them for success in their chosen field. Utilizing IPS, the Career Counselor works in a team to develop both job placements and retention supports with the goal of developing a career path and achieving greater self-sufficiency and independence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with individuals with severe mental illness and co-occurring barriers to employment
- Knowledge of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) principles and practices
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Pay
$55,000 - $60,000 annually
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
