About the role

Easterseals New Jersey has been serving the community since January 8th, 1948, focusing on meeting the needs of people with disabilities and their families through its Extended Employment program. Participants receive vocational training and support to secure competitive community employment.

Responsibilities

• Develop measurable fundamental employment plans to help participants reach their fullest potential.
• Provide a person-centered approach to employment services.
• Assess and exercise judgement in a participant’s readiness for competitive employment.
• Support participants in the community by reinforcing positive work habits.
• Network with local businesses and colleges to promote employment opportunities.
• Provide on-site vocational training to ensure employment success.
• Interact effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in the human service field required.
• Two years’ working experience in vocational rehabilitation preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Essential function includes driving.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be subject to post-offer verification of driving eligibility consistent with company insurance requirements.
