Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, the Career Coordinator is responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating the goals and objectives of Career Services to support student success across multiple campuses.
- Guiding students through career exploration, planning, and preparation, ensuring they are equipped with the tools and confidence needed to achieve their professional aspirations.
- Collaborating with faculty, staff, and community partners to design and deliver career development programs, workshops, and events that connect students with employment and internship opportunities.
- Maintaining and enhancing Career Services operations, including employer relations, career fairs, and digital career resources.
- Assisting in assessing career interests, providing individualized counseling, and supporting resume writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Contributing to continuous improvement efforts by evaluating program effectiveness, analyzing outcomes, and recommending enhancements to better serve the student population of Midlands Technical College.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and experience in student services programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A master's degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience in college career services.
