Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid SC Teaching License (any applicable area) Must have current government issued identification Terms Of Employment 8 Hours/190 Days Certified Salary Schedule The terms of employment detailed in this job description are based on full time employment during the school year. Conditions of employment adjusted for part time employees or individuals who are hired for less than an entire school year. General Summary Under general supervision of the Director of Career and Technical Education shall ensure the coordination, accountability, and delivery of instruction around state standards and professional practices to CTE (Career and Technology Education) teachers for technical subjects; serves as a support for student success, and coordinators understanding and promotion of CTE to all stakeholders. Essential Functions Supports and upholds the mission, vision and strategic goals of Lexington County School District One towards increased outcomes for students.Interacts, communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders effectively.Establishes a safe, supportive, positive and productive working and learning environment.Operates general office and technology equipment needed for daily activities.Maintains confidentiality regarding all employee and student information.Participates in all professional meetings and training sessions as required.Requests and maintains materials needed for daily responsibilities and essential functions; provides for safe storage and proper use of all tools, equipment and materials. CTE Recruitment and Retention Coordinates efforts with administration and counselors to recruit students to CTE pathways and retain students within those pathways in order to complete program areas.Oversees CTE marketing and communications strategies and tactics that will effectively publicize information and events relevant to industry, education, community and other stakeholder groups, including preparing and executing materials.Assists in the development of organizational materials, including print, website and social media presence consistent with CTE/LTC brand and identityIn collaboration with the CTE Director, represents CTE programs district-wide, connecting school-based staff, central office personnel, and home schools to the community and industry partners (parents, external partners, etc.)Designs and delivers presentations to schools, agencies, organizations, and business and industry partners to promote LTC courses and district-wide CTECollaborates and supports outreach efforts on behalf of the District's various CTE program initiatives and instructional departmentsDevelops and implements strategies for CTE marketing and student recruiting, leveraging central services resources and working with school-based staff as needed Student Academic Support Works with CTE teachers and administrative staff to develop CTE lessons, assessment or other activities that support student engagement and achievementAssist with monitoring appropriate responses for students who need additional support (MTSS, MLP, IEP/504 accommodations, other academic support structures) in CTE and appropriate core content courseworkCommunicates and works closely with the classroom teachers while assisting in the development of each students' intervention structuresSupports design and execution of capstones, senior portfolios/showcase, and other CTE student eventsCollect and study data in collaboration with CTE administrators to develop areas of strategic focusCommunicate with faculty and students providing CTE information including best practices in project presentation and delivery, portfolio creation, and professional communicationStays abreast of new trends and research studies in the field of career and technical education and interprets the potential usefulness within the framework of the total school program.Performs other job-related duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibility Responsible for supervision of students. Duties of the job require frequent use of a computer monitor and related equipment. Occasional travel is required; possible overnight travel required. Work Environment Conducts duties primarily indoors with no significant exposure to adverse environmental conditions; occasional outdoor responsibilities with exposure to environmental conditions may be required. Requires constant attention working with students and carrying out high level responsibilities that often have time constraints and legal ramifications. Evaluation Performance of this job is evaluated annually according to Board Policy.
