Care Team Manager
About the role
Beacon Specialized Living is seeking a Care Team Manager (CTM) to lead the day-to-day operations of one of our residential homes supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role ensures the people we support receive high-quality care while maintaining a safe, positive, and supportive home environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and support Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and residential staff.
- Oversee the daily operations of the assigned home.
- Ensure individuals receive care and support consistent with their individual needs and plans.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and staff retention.
- Ensure required documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, state regulations, and applicable care standards.
- Support medication administration and health/safety procedures as required.
- Respond appropriately to behavioral or operational concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
- Build positive relationships with individuals supported, families, staff, and community partners.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and quality-improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a hands-on leader who is willing to step in and support the team when needed.
Requirements
- Previous experience in IDD, behavioral health, healthcare, human services, or residential services preferred.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional and operational leadership.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, 24/7 residential environment.
- Reliable transportation and ability to meet position-specific driving requirements, if applicable.
- Must meet all company and state requirements for the position.
