About the role
A compassionate and detail-oriented Care Team Assistant is needed to join PACE's interdisciplinary team in Pinellas Park, FL. PACE is a unique care model that helps older adults stay safe and independent in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Handles a variety of administrative duties to ensure accurate record keeping, compliance with participant capacity for day center, adequate member flow through the clinic and support for some related marketing activities.
- Manages the PACE Center reception desk/Clinic reception desk.
- Sets up and maintains the PACE Center reception desk.
- Sets up and maintains the Clinic reception desk.
- Supports administrative, clinical, and day center staff with clerical duties such as faxing, scheduling, ordering supplies, etc.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 7+ years in administrative, writing, office experience. PACE knowledge and experience a plus.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in a medical setting (hospital, clinic, medical office, nursing home, etc.) is preferred.
- Has worked with the elderly and/or chronically ill.
- Experience managing patient schedules and a busy front desk or office environment.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint and Access.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare billing or claims.
- Data entry and database management using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems or equivalent systems.
