Care Team Assistant
About the role
The Care Team Assistant (CTA) is a critical role at Erie that performs a variety of patient care activities to support both our Providers and Medical Assistants in the delivery of services to ensure timely and comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and prepares exam rooms, ensuring they are cleaned, sterilized, and stocked appropriately to provide excellent patient experience
- Assists with scheduling appointments for general follow ups, testing, and procedures as instructed
- Provides discharge summary requirements and next steps
- Helps with sensitive exam requirements
- Ensures all faxing and printing documents are complete
- Performs related job duties as necessary
Qualifications
Education Required: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Education Preferred: Associate degree or two (2) years of college a plus.
Experience Preferred: Six (6) months of related experience in a healthcare or customer service role. On the job training will be provided for individuals without prior healthcare experience.

- Cultural competency to work with a diverse patient population
- Bilingual fluency to assist or work with non-English speaking patients and/or guests (preferred)
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office a plus (preferred)
- Intermediate EPIC skills are a plus (preferred)

Pay
Compensation is based on each candidate's experience, skills and education within the range identified for the role. Candidates who meet the minimum requirements of the role will start at entry in the range. Any additional skills, experience and education will be reflected in the compensation offered.
Schedule
The work schedule for this role is aligned with Erie's hours of operations.
