About the role
The Lead Caregiver serves as a shift leader in a senior care environment, ensuring high-quality, consistent resident care while supporting and mentoring team members.
Responsibilities
- Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage to ensure smooth operations
- Provide hands-on assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) as needed
- Coach caregivers on quality standards, hospitality, and documentation practices
- Review and ensure charting accuracy in line with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
- Monitor resident health, communicate concerns promptly, and support safety and compliance
- Assist with onboarding and mentor new team members to promote a collaborative environment
- Model professionalism, accountability, and compassionate service as a frontline leader
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum age 18+)
- CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
- Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care preferred
