Care Management Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous accountability of all assigned residents
• Create and maintain a safe and secure environment
• Supervise resident drug and alcohol testing
• Manage visitation, recreation, laundry procedures, cleaning, transportation services, and other related duties as required
• Support security for other treatment programs as needed
• Participate in facility activities fostering a safe and secure environment

Requirements

• Knowledge of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment & recovery, consumer engagement, healthcare, social services, and criminal justice systems
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Proficiency in using a personal computer and related office software
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License
• Basic understanding of crisis intervention techniques
• Ability to work independently, without supervision
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Word, email, and agency electronic medical record system
• Physical demands: sit for extended periods, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, frequently stand and walk, occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least one (1) year of experience working cooperatively with others in a human service setting
• Some training or experience in substance-related disorders preferred
• CDCA preferred
