About the role
ProRehab Physical Therapy, a member of the Confluent Health family, is seeking a Full Time Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our West Louisville team. As the first voice and face patients encounter, you set the tone for their entire experience—organized, warm, and professional from the first call through every visit. This fast-paced, multi-tasking role directly impacts patients and the clinical team by maintaining smooth operations and a welcoming environment.
Pay
$17 per hour.

Responsibilities
- Create a welcoming, professional first impression for patients, visitors, and referral sources
- Manage front desk operations including patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, insurance verification/authorization, and phone calls
- Review, schedule, and follow up on incoming referrals by gathering information, creating or updating patient records, and helping patients understand next steps
- Keep patient flow and schedules moving by confirming appointments, working waitlists, filling cancellations, and following up with patients who need future visits
- Collect copays, balances, and other patient payments accurately and professionally, including basic payment tracking or reconciliation when needed
- Protect patient privacy and uphold HIPAA standards in all front desk interactions and documentation
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in a medical front desk, healthcare reception, physical therapy, chiropractic, dental, or similar clinical office setting (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication, organization, multitasking, and follow-up skills
- Comfort using computers, phones, scheduling systems, electronic medical records, email, and basic spreadsheets
- Ability to discuss payments, scheduling expectations, and basic insurance information with professionalism
- A calm, patient-centered approach with strong attention to detail and a willingness to help the team
