Oversight
- Oversee Personal Care Service and Documentation
- Train staff on personal care services, resident needs, and ensuring staff is providing the required services
- Coordinate and follow up on Licensed Health Professional Support Tasks, Pharmacy Reviews, Physician Referrals, or other outside referrals
- Affirm FL2, Care Plans, physician orders, and other relevant documents are current and up-to-date
- Maintain residents' skin care, nail care, vitals, intake, and output
- Supervise direct care staff and medication aides, coaching, mentoring, and training them with a hands-on approach
Direct Care
- Provide training, supervision, and monitoring of associates in the administration of direct care within the community
- Perform hands-on resident care as needed or warranted
On-Call Responsibility
- Rotate on-call responsibilities, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Program Evaluation
- Evaluate the Resident Care Program using quality enhancement tools and customer feedback
Support Functions
- Support and actively participate in census building initiatives and event hosting
- Host and attend external and internal program presentations as requested by management
- Support and guide families/responsible parties in assisted living care processes and placement
- Link families/responsible parties to support groups and outside resources when needed
Legal Compliance
- Notify the Executive Director of any concerns regarding neglect, abuse, or exploitation by other staff
- Follow all regulations as required by Federal HIPPA Laws
Qualifications
- NC Licensed Practical Nurse or NC Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing with the NC Board of Nursing
- Current, unencumbered license in North Carolina with at least two years of clinical or direct patient care experience
- Working knowledge of Personal Care Services and the 3L Policy or experience in assisted living
- Working knowledge of Adult Care Home Policies and Procedures and NC DHSR requirement for the operation of an Adult Care Home
- Valid NC Driver's License
- Medication Aide and medication aide training within 30 days of hire
- Lift, push, and pull a minimum of 30 pounds
- Bend, stoop, squat, and reach overhead as needed
- Read, write, understand, and follow directions
- No substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program
- Clear SBI and DMV record
- Two-step tuberculin skin test (first test prior to hire, second test within two weeks of first test)
- CPR Certified
