Responsibilities
- Aid in managing employee relations while maintaining accountability, quality, and safety within the pet sitting, dog walking, and office departments.
- Coordinate hiring needs for pet sitting, dog walking, and office departments.
- Train and develop team members, providing constructive feedback and conducting performance reviews.
- Enforce all policies, standards, and procedures to ensure an outstanding client experience.
- Facilitate all potential client communications and schedule consultations. Perform some consultations.
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of client profiles and schedules (documents, communication, notes, etc.).
- Create and manage staff schedules to cover all assignments.
- Cover midday dog walking and vacation pet sitting assignments in the field as needed.
- Follow the responsibilities detailed in the Job Descriptions for Midday Dog Walker and Vacation Pet Sitter, enforcing all rules, protocols, and instructions.
- Manage the key control protocol.
- Capture content from visits, events, and staff for social media use.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, managing any complaints professionally and promptly.
- Support the development of policies, forms, and tools to enhance company efficiency and risk management.
- Act as an ambassador for the brand at networking events, community pet events, and other opportunities.
- Keep the Care Concierge Team and owner informed at all times.
Qualifications
- Able to accommodate a very flexible and ever-changing schedule.
- Available to be on call days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Lives in Northern Virginia in the service area, preferably within 5 miles of 22301 (Del Ray).
- Self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Organized in a busy environment.
- Has an insured vehicle in good working order.
- Can multitask and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Has space and computer equipment for a home office.
- Upholds a respectable appearance.
- Has proven management experience, preferably in the pet care services industry.
- Comfortable with pets of all types, sizes, breeds, and personalities.
- Knowledgeable or interested in pet training, behavior, care, and nutrition.
- Willing to complete and pass a thorough criminal background check.
Pay
$45,000 - $50,000 annually, based on experience.
Schedule
40 working hours per week, requiring On Call Manager shifts covering all hours care providers are in the field, 6am-10pm daily, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
