About the role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Care Assistant to support a wonderful adult client in her home in Lee’s Summit/Blue Springs. This is private in-home care for a physically disabled adult recovering from an injury (non-senior).

Preferred Schedule

PREFERRED SCHEDULE: 🕖7:00/7:30am to 10/10:30am 2 x a week. Additional hours may be available for the right fit. This client is 7days a week, 24hrs each day.

Position Requirements

• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and assist with transfers safely
• Strong bedside manner and respectful communication
• Dependable and punctual — reliability is crucial, as this is part of a 24/7 care schedule
• Caregiver with experience in life or professionally
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must hold a valid Driver's License
• Demonstrate good judgment when dealing with patients, visitors, families, and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Be caring and compassionate toward clients and their caretakers
• Show up on TIME!
• Assistance with personal care and hygiene, including incontinence briefs etc.
• Meal Preparation
• Light Housekeeping
• Accompany clients on outings
• Shopping and errands
• Medication Assist/Reminders
• Ambulation and transporting of clients
• Provide companionship to clients
• Ability to follow care-plan
• Documentation/Charting

Requirements

• Experience in life with Caregiving or professionally
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must hold a valid Driver's License
• Demonstrate good judgment when dealing with patients, visitors, families, and co-workers
