Responsibilities

• Direct all store operations
• Research, identify, and authenticate collectible trading cards by assessing the condition and quality of the item using established standards
• Coach and motivate your team to drive sales that deliver exceptional customer service
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by being knowledgeable on all products offered and teaming up with co-workers to provide excellent sales service
• Deliver sales, customer experience, merchandising, visual, and operational expectations
• Act as a partner between customers, sales associates, and CardVault leadership
• Learn and share expertise of products and trends to fit customer’s needs
• Maintain awareness of all product knowledge, and current or upcoming product trends
• Maintain patron satisfaction and build relationships with preferred patrons
• Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management and hourly staff; clearly communicate job expectations; enforce policies and procedures
• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations
• Delegate authority, assign responsibilities, and effectively manage subordinates
• Establish standards for personnel administration and performance
• Answer patrons' complaints and resolve problems
• Maintain all necessary licenses and permits
• Handle general cash duties, reconcile cash drawers and safes, and perform opening and closing duties to company standard
• Ensure the security of all merchandise
• Minimize shrinkage, identify, and reduce loss
• Coordinate with the CardVault Director of Inventory and Logistics regarding inventory management
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A comprehensive knowledge of sports and/or trading cards
• Minimum of two years store manager experience in a similar environment
• High school Diploma/GED desired; College degree preferred
• Ability to lead and be part of a successful store team
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management
• Ability to meet or exceed sales and guest service standards
• Comfortable working and speaking with the public
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products and retail business systems
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to maneuver around sales floor and stock room, and lift/carry up to 30 lbs
• Clear understanding of retail metrics including key performance indicators necessary to drive sales

Physical Demands

• May be required to lift or move up to 30 lbs using proper lifting techniques
• Must withstand long hours on your feet in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

Schedule

Non-typical office hours will be customary for this position including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
