Cards SME / Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Cards business processes and operations.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define business needs and translate them into effective solutions.
• Support large-scale cards transformation initiatives, platform enhancements, and migration projects.
• Perform source-to-target data analysis, mapping, validation, balancing, and reconciliation activities.
• Conduct data analysis and reporting using SQL.
• Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and stakeholder discussions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support solution design, testing, and implementation activities.
• Ensure alignment with project delivery methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall frameworks.
• Provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency and customer experience within the cards ecosystem.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Cards SME, or related role within the Banking or Financial Services industry.
• Strong functional knowledge of the complete Cards lifecycle, including:
• Card Issuance and Embossing
• Authorizations
• Clearing and Settlement
• Transaction Posting
• Disputes and Chargebacks
• Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis and validation.
• Experience working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Proficiency with project collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and client-facing experience.
• Ability to lead discussions, drive business requirements, and collaborate across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VisionPLUS and Interest Processing.
• Experience supporting new card product launches.
• Prior involvement in large-scale cards platform migrations and transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of data migration, reconciliation, and integration processes.
• Experience working in complex enterprise-scale financial systems environments.
