Cardiovascular Technologist

Job Summary

The position involves assisting in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab under the supervision of a cardiologist/radiologist. Responsibilities include preparing the procedure room, monitoring instrument levels, and participating in staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Assists by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data
• Maintains adequate preparation of the procedure room
• Maintains par level of all instruments and supplies
• Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities
• Trains new staff in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures

Requirements

• ARRT-R and license as required by State or Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab preferred
• Certified Cardiovascular Technologist (CCT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) preferred
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and must be maintained current
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire
• Proficient computer skills

Qualifications

• Education in cardiovascular technology with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
