About the Role
The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS assists with invasive cardiovascular procedures, supporting physicians and ensuring smooth operations in the cath lab.
Responsibilities
- Assist in teaching and orientation for students and new staff.
- Support physicians as a monitor tech by interpreting dysrhythmias, EKGs, and operating physiologic recorders.
- Operate imaging equipment and assist as a scrub tech during procedures.
- Monitor patient status, aid in transporting patients, and prepare the lab for procedures.
- Maintain sterile technique, manage supplies, and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Assist with post-procedure care, including sheath removal and patient monitoring.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare experience.
- Current AHA Advanced Cardio Life Support certification.
- RCIS certification within 18 months of hire, or ARRT and TX RT(R).
- Knowledge of medications, procedures, and inventory control.
- Ability to assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures.
