Cardiovascular Quality Coordinator - Mercy Cardiology

About the role

Coordinates assigned cardiovascular structural program(s) in its entirety by working closely with interventional cardiologists, non-invasive cardiologists and cardiac surgeons as well as other members of the health care team. In conjunction with medical and hospital leadership is responsible for creating policies and patient care pathways, follows standards of care and communicates with clinical/nursing staff working with the same cohort of patients.

Responsibilities

  • Makes sure that volume, quality, care pathway compliance are monitored and reported appropriately.
  • Supports the growth of programs and services by coordinating and supporting the development of protocols, clinical workflows, and education and research efforts of the team.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Licensure/Certifications: Current state RN licensure or eligible for licensure in applicable state
  • Experience: 3 years providing care to patients within the cardiology
  • Preferred Experience: 2 years demonstrated experience managing quality programs recommended
