About the Role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- American Board of Radiology-certified or eligible, with appropriate sub-specialty training
- Expertise in Cardiovascular Imaging
Responsibilities
- Interpret in all aspects of cardiovascular radiology, including cardiac CT, cardiac MRI, and vascular CTA and MRA
- Participate in shared after-hours and weekend coverage
- Develop research credentials, with opportunity to develop a specialized research focus in consultation with the Division Chief
Opportunities
- Research and educational support to prepare for an academic and/or clinical career
- Work within the Penn Radiology Cardiovascular Imaging Division, offering specialized expertise to the world-renowned Penn Aorta Program
- Handle a high volume and variety of cases, including coronary computed tomography angiography (CTA), CT scans for structural heart disease, TAVR, TMVR, and TTVR
- Conduct cardiac MRI for various clinical indications
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists to provide comprehensive care
- Provide clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Penn Presbyterian Medical Center (PPMC), Pennsylvania Hospital (PAH), and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center (PAVMC), as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware
