Key Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with treatments, therapies, and procedures, including scrub assistance, monitoring, and circulating, under physician direction.
- Administer medication under direct supervision of a physician, as appropriate.
- Document clinical information and maintain accurate patient records.
- Communicate relevant information effectively to physicians and team members.
- Calculate, interpret, and analyze clinical data.
- Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care based on current practices and literature.
- Participate in committee and governance activities as recommended.
Skills And Requirements
- Ability to work at an intermittent to rapid pace in high-pressure situations, requiring prolonged concentration and critical thinking.
- Physical capability to walk, stand, sit, lift, reach, stoop, bend, push, and pull.
- Must be able to lift and support up to 50 pounds for handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Strong manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and intact senses of sight, hearing, smell, and touch.
- Ability to stand and walk while wearing 10-20 lbs lead radiation protection aprons.
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions.
- Awareness of potential exposure to radiation, secretions, and blood in a confined work area.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in procedural or operating room settings is preferred.
