Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre- and post-operative assessments for surgical cardiac patients
• Manage complex cardiac conditions and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe treatments within collaborative protocols
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care plans
• Support transitions of care and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons

Qualifications & Skills

• Advanced nursing licensure with specialized training in cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic interpretation skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and follow protocols
• Excellent patient education and communication skills
