About the role
Munson Medical Center and the partnering Cardiothoracic Surgery team is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team.
Responsibilities
- Inpatient: Admit patients to the hospital, perform daily rounds, write orders, daily progress notes, discharge summaries, etc.
- Pre & Post-op: Educate and teach patients and families, prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies, order/diagnostic imaging, tests/labs.
- OR: First assist surgeons in operating room daily, assist OR coordinators with case management, pre & post-op order placement/management.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Nursing OR a Masters in Physician Assistant studies.
- State of Michigan Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant license required.
- OR 1st assist experience is preferred but not required.
