Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant (PA)

Facility located in Charleston, SC – a beautifully preserved antebellum city with pastel‑colored houses, cobblestone streets, leafy patios, historic estates, and abundant activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24‑hour call coverage in an inpatient hospital setting, including operating room and floor coverage.
• Assist with complex cardiovascular surgeries.
• Perform endovascular vein harvesting (EVH), endovascular procedures, and surgical vein harvesting.

Requirements

• Active South Carolina Physician Assistant license.
• Experience with endovascular vein harvesting (EVH), endovascular procedures, and surgical vein harvesting.
• Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) Certification required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, ATLS certifications preferred (not specified as required).
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) EMR.

Pay

$1,067.00 – $1,155.00 (per day)

Schedule

• 24‑hour call coverage (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM).
• Specific coverage blocks: Oct 1 7:00 AM – Oct 5 7:00 AM; Oct 16 7:00 AM – Oct 19 7:00 AM; Nov 24 7:00 AM – Dec 2 7:00 AM.
• Ongoing need for 2‑7 days of coverage per month.
