Cardiothoracic Surgery Outpatient Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) Part Time - 24 Hours/week

About the Role

United Health Services Hospitals is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join an established outpatient Cardiothoracic Surgery team in Binghamton, NY. This part-time role (24 hours per week) offers the opportunity to work closely with a collaborative team of surgeons specializing in cardiac and thoracic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct new and established patient visits in an outpatient setting, including comprehensive evaluations and ongoing care management.
• Perform patient consultations with thorough education on procedures and treatment plans.
• Provide postoperative care and follow-up for surgical patients, monitoring recovery and addressing complications as needed.
• Coordinate patient communication and triage inquiries in collaboration with clinical and administrative team members.

Requirements

• Active New York State NP or PA license required.
• DEA registration and board certification required.
• 1–2 years of NP/PA experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience as an APP or RN in a surgical setting preferred.

Pay

Annual compensation range: $136,000 - $152,000 (prorated to $81,600 - $91,200 for 0.6 FTE). Includes competitive starting salary with bonus incentives, a sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.
