Cardiopulmonary RRT - Full Time Nights

About the Role

As a full-time Respiratory Therapist RRT working night shifts, you will provide specialized respiratory care to patients, assessing, treating, and managing acute and chronic respiratory conditions. Collaboration with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams is essential to develop individualized care plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and create tailored treatment plans
• Administer therapies such as oxygen, mechanical ventilation, and airway management
• Monitor and adjust treatments, document care accurately
• Respond swiftly to respiratory emergencies with life-saving interventions
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment for safety and efficiency
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and disease management
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and comply with standards

Requirements

• Current valid RRT credential and state licensure
• High school diploma or equivalent with an accredited respiratory therapy program
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Experience in clinical respiratory therapy, preferably in acute care
• Strong skills in respiratory assessments, therapies, equipment troubleshooting, and patient education

Preferred Qualifications

• EMR proficiency
• Experience with mechanical ventilation
• Experience with quality improvement programs
