The role of the Cardiology Specialist is to proactively sell and deliver results for Baxter Cardiology products in the acute/primary care market, including hospitals, physician offices, urgent care offices, VA and DOD facilities, community health centers, and other defined healthcare organizations. The goal is to generate opportunities with an emphasis on larger, strategic cardiology customers and/or EHR-connected opportunities within an assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Convey the entire value proposition and solution of the Baxter portfolio to executives/managers from clinical, administrative, and IT perspectives—triage to field sales (Bardy, Welch Allyn, and Epiphany) where needed.
  • Serve as the commercial leader in your region for cardiology growth, providing strategic direction with management and participating in large IDN and corporate deals as well as day-to-day field activities.
  • Directly promote, quote, and negotiate Cardio Server new system sales deals, working with the Cardiology leader for guidance, discount approvals, and enterprise agreements.
  • Develop a comprehensive business plan to grow sales of the complete portfolio of cardiology solutions with Regional Managers, targeting strategic IDNs and customers.
  • Proactively target IDN and large cardiology practice customers that have not yet invested in Baxter cardiology solutions, with the objective of expanding penetration for customers that have invested in a portion or none of the solutions.
  • Identify and nurture external relationships in cardiology, including C-suite, managers, physicians, IT, and other leaders within the region to grow and sustain the Baxter Cardiology Brand.
  • Assume the lead sales role on large cardiology opportunities, whether stand-alone or connected to ECG management systems and/or EMRs. Partner and present with the Solution Architect on complex connected opportunities.
  • Present and lead training sessions at regional and national sales meetings.
  • Maintain an accurate monthly forecast, including all opportunities, chance for success, sales dollars, close dates, and progress toward attaining quota.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with SAAS, connected environments, EMR, and capital sales is preferred.
  • Three to five years of successful sales experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of cardiology products and workflow is a plus.
  • Proven track record of establishing and successfully implementing a business plan.

Pay

The estimated pay range for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 annually. Individual pay is based on location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position is also eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding goals.
