Cardiology Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for specialty patients within Cardiology
- Aid with diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient monitoring
- Support advanced case management for medically complex and specialty patients
- Place and maintain IV catheters and other supportive devices as indicated
- Collect and process diagnostic samples accurately and efficiently
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Assist with sedation and anesthesia monitoring as appropriate to department needs
- Support patient comfort, safety, and advocacy throughout treatment and hospitalization
- Communicate clearly with doctors and team members to support high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Support client education and communication in partnership with the clinical team
- Support a collaborative, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
Requirements
- Current Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) license
- Active registration with DORA
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills
- 3+ years of experience as an RVT, ideally in specialty medicine
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (AS/BS/BA)
- BLS and/or ALS CPR certification
- Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Cardiology specialty (preferred, will be compensated more)
