About the role
The Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is recruiting a Non‑Invasive Cardiologist/Assistant Professor with Advanced Imaging training. The ideal candidate is a well‑rounded clinical cardiologist with good communication skills who wants to join a thriving, highly collaborative team. Responsibilities include a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, with opportunities for teaching and research. The academic practice comprises over 60 cardiologists, state‑of‑the‑art equipment, and new facilities, and the comprehensive cardiac program offers complex structural interventions, advanced heart failure (including heart transplant, MCS, ECMO, and shock), and a sophisticated electrophysiology program.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Clinical activities focused on clinic and hospital coverage at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee and Froedtert‑West Bend.
- Research, Teaching, and Scholarly Activities: Opportunities for teaching and research with dedicated 20% academic time.
- Administration/Service: Participation in multi‑disciplinary conferences organized by the Division.
Qualifications
- Wisconsin license as MD/DO
- Board certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease; qualified to sit for Interventional Cardiology boards
- Current ACLS certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Unrestricted DEA number
- Unrestricted ability to participate in Medicare/Medicaid or other federal/state governmental health care programs
