Cardio Vascular Technologist (XRay)-Full Time-Day

About the role

Assists laboratory physicians and RNs in areas related to Cardiac Catheterization procedures. Provides care to a specific group of adult or geriatric patients consistent with the philosophy, goals, policies and procedures of the Nursing Department and Hospital Administration. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate care to the age of the patient served on the nursing unit or by patient care departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist laboratory physicians and registered nurses with Cardiac Catheterization procedures
• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in accordance with nursing department philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures
• Apply knowledge and skills appropriate to the age-specific needs of patients served in the unit

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years college or technical training, or equivalent experience
• Will train in Interventional and Electrophysiology Procedures

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Maintain competency and proficiency with all Interventional and Electrophysiology equipment and procedures through reading materials and in-service programs
• General knowledge of a specialized or technical field normally associated with an A.A. or A.S. degree

Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• NYS Radiologic Technologist License
• American Registry of Radiologic Technology Certification, or eligibility

Pay

Hourly rate: $51.03 – $68.97
