About the role
The Cardiovascular Technologist will be responsible for performing specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance. Duties include preparing patients, operating advanced radiologic equipment, and contributing critical data for interpretation. The role requires a combination of advanced technical proficiency in cardiovascular imaging and a meticulous eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Expertly perform specialized interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under physician guidance.
- Meticulously prepare patients, operate advanced radiologic equipment, and contribute critical data for interpretation.
- Ensure the safe, efficient operation of all equipment while maintaining mastery of latest standards and protocols.
- Work with fellow staff to complete patient procedures timely and professionally.
- Assist with transfer of patients and room preparation/cleaning.
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment in the EP suite to ensure quality imaging and appropriate data capture.
- Maintain proper patient identification of the various imaging archival systems associated with EP procedures.
- Monitor and record ECG and pressure waveforms during the procedure, demonstrating knowledge of normal and abnormal cardiac anatomy and physiology for adult and geriatric patients.
- Record key events during procedures and enter supplies and charges accurately using the hospital Meditech system.
- Inform the Manager or designee regarding current unit activities, problems, and actions through oral and written reports.
Requirements
- Technical School Graduate from an approved Radiological Technology Program
- Advanced training or licensure equivalent to ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV)
- 1 year minimum cath lab and interventional radiology experience with both scrub and monitor
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 90 Days
Preferred
- Minimum 3 years current hands-on x ray and scrub experience within an interventional EP Lab

Pay
The posted compensation range of $55.81 - $65.75 /hour is a reasonable estimate based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
