Cardiac Ultrasonographer
Position Overview
To ensure that Cardiology services rendered (the evaluation and treatment of patients) are completed in a timely, accurate, and reliable manner. Those serviced include inpatients and outpatients, UHS staff and employees, as well as affiliated UHSH community groups as needed. Priority is given to services which directly affect patients and supervised staff.

Work Locations: UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY There is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Your recruiter and hiring manager will clarify expectations during the interview process.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients through cardiac ultrasonography services.
- Provide timely and accurate evaluations to ensure patient care.
- Supervise and assist other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from ARDMS or CCI is required.
- CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school for Cardiac Ultrasonography preferred.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) preferred.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

Pay
$37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience.
Schedule
This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
