Cardiac Ultrasonographer
About the role
Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of: Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.
Instruct medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound.
May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.
This is a Cardiac Ultrasound position; only RDCS, ACS, or RCS credentials are required.
Qualifications
- Required associate’s degree or equivalent
- Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC
- CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS
- Cardiac 1 Year required
- CRT-Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RCS) - UNKNOWN
- Cardiac 1 Year required
- CRT-Vascular Technologist (VT) - ARDMS
- Within 1 year of hire required for Vascular Department
