About the role
To perform cardiac ultrasound procedures of a professional level on all patient population serviced by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation other than pediatric patients. Responsible for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patient.
Requirements
- BLS - Basic Life Support
- Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography
- Must be able to recognize abnormal structure and be able to correlate this information into a useful study
- Must be able to deviate from normal techniques, when necessary, to develop new techniques
- Must be able to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers
