About the role

To perform cardiac ultrasound procedures of a professional level on all patient population serviced by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation other than pediatric patients. Responsible for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patient.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures at a professional level for all patient populations (excluding pediatric).
• Ensure patient safety, mental and physical comfort during procedures.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography.
• Ability to recognize abnormal structures and correlate findings into a useful study.
• Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new techniques.
• Ability to utilize ancillary devices, such as selected transducers.
