Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures of a professional level on all patient populations serviced by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation other than pediatric patients.
- Ensure the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patient.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography.
- Ability to recognize abnormal structure and correlate this information into a useful study.
- Ability to deviate from normal techniques when necessary to develop new techniques.
- Ability to utilize ancillary devices, i.e., selected transducers.
