About the role
To perform cardiac ultrasound procedures of a professional level on all patient population serviced by South Shore Health & Educational Corporation other than pediatric patients. Responsible for the safety, mental and physical comfort of the patient.
Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures on adult and non‑pediatric patient populations.
- Ensure patient safety, mental and physical comfort during examinations.
Requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to demonstrate competency in cardiovascular echocardiography.
- Ability to recognize abnormal structures and correlate findings into a useful study.
- Ability to deviate from standard techniques when necessary to develop new approaches.
- Ability to utilize ancillary devices, such as selected transducers.
