Cardiac Sonographer - $10K Sign-On & Loan Repayment Program - New grads encouraged to apply

About the role

Performs quality exams and creates preliminary reports. Assists with interpreting imaging for each study. Reviews physician order, and verifies patient/procedure and performs echocardiograms. Prepares and processes echo studies for interpretation. Assists in training of Cardiology Fellows performing Pediatric Echocardiography (AC only).

Maintains equipment during procedures for equipment malfunctions and notifies of major malfunctions. Inventory supplies and submits list to proper personnel, to keep adequate supply stock for department.

Supports a collaborative and supportive supervision structure, providing direction when needed while allowing professional autonomy. Monitors equipment during procedures for equipment malfunctions and notifies of major malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality exams and creates preliminary reports.
• Aids in interpreting imaging for each study.
• Reviews physician orders and verifies patient/procedure, performing echocardiograms.
• Prepares and processes echo studies for interpretation.
• Assists in training Cardiology Fellows performing Pediatric Echocardiography (AC only).
• Maintains equipment during procedures for equipment malfunctions and notifies of major malfunctions.
• Inventories supplies and submits list to proper personnel, to keep adequate supply stock for department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited sonography program.
• Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) certification in Echocardiography.
• Experience in pediatric echocardiography preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Knowledge of pediatric anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Pay

$15.00 - $18.00 per hour based on experience.
