Cardiac Device Specialist / SEIU-E

Analyzes and interrogates pacemakers, ICDs, and implantable loop recorders across cardiology practices. Supports the telemonitoring program by reviewing data and maintaining software applications.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of pacemaker equipment (20%).
• Analyzes and reprograms all pacemakers with various programs (20%).
• Performs independent quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks (15%).
• Manages all data through software applications (15%).
• Reprograms devices as ordered by the physician (10%).
• Maintains follow-up appointments for pacemaker and ICD patients (10%).
• Conducts family and patient education on care of pacemakers/ICDs (5%).
• Performs EKGs as needed (5%).
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Minimum Associate’s degree and one or more years of related experience and training.
• 1 year of experience as a Senior Monitor Technician (preferred).
• 1 year in the electrophysiology field (preferred).
• BLS certification.
