Analyzes and interrogates pacemakers, ICDs, and implantable loop recorders across cardiology practices. Supports the telemonitoring program by reviewing data and maintaining software applications.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates extensive knowledge and understanding of pacemaker equipment (20%).
- Analyzes and reprograms all pacemakers with various programs (20%).
- Performs independent quarterly transtelephonic pacemaker checks (15%).
- Manages all data through software applications (15%).
- Reprograms devices as ordered by the physician (10%).
- Maintains follow-up appointments for pacemaker and ICD patients (10%).
- Conducts family and patient education on care of pacemakers/ICDs (5%).
- Performs EKGs as needed (5%).
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Requirements
- Minimum Associate’s degree and one or more years of related experience and training.
- 1 year of experience as a Senior Monitor Technician (preferred).
- 1 year in the electrophysiology field (preferred).
- BLS certification.
