Description
We are seeking a Cardiac Device Specialist with broad experience in patient care and a deep understanding of cardiac devices. This role requires analyzing and reprogramming implantable cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators, adjusting settings, evaluating heart rhythms, and maintaining device function. The position involves in-patient and out-patient evaluations, troubleshooting, and managing device issues, including MRI and perioperative planning. It also includes communicating with patients and vendors, and mentoring novice staff.
Minimum Qualification
- Graduate of an allied health program, including nursing, physician assistant, nurse practitioner, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- A degree in a health science may be considered.
- Two years of cardiac device (pacemaker and defibrillator) analysis and reprogramming experience or IBHRE certification required.
