About the role
We are seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital. This position requires on-call responsibilities during the week and weekends in a rotation, with the requirement to be within 30 minutes from the hospital for on-call purposes.
Responsibilities
- Help in the procedures and cardiac device implantations performed in the Cath/EPLab
- Be the subject matter expert of all invasive procedures and prepare patients appropriately according to policy
- Circulate, monitor patients during Cath Lab procedures, and perform sterile scrub procedures for both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization, vascular procedures, and other cardiac procedures
- Handle stocking and documenting supplies, patient billing, and coding of procedures
Requirements
- A High School Diploma/GED is required
- An Associate degree is preferred
- A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification is required
- A current American Heart Association ACLS certification or American Red Cross ALS certification is required
- In Georgia, a current ARRT or RCIS credentials are required
- One year of experience is preferred
Qualifications
- Knowledge of invasive procedures and patient preparation
- Ability to circulate, monitor patients, and perform sterile scrub procedures
- Experience with patient billing and coding
