Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist

Join our team in Johnson City, NY, where you will perform routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab under physician direction. You will serve UHSH employees, Medical Staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, prioritizing customer service. Adherence to the Interventional Cardiology departmental on-call policy is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Cath Lab procedures including catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, and more.
• Operate advanced imaging equipment following established guidelines.
• Ensure safety standards and radiation safety practices are met.
• Instruct students and residents; perform preceptor duties as needed.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on equipment.
• Maintain supply inventory for all procedures.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of UHS information systems and coding procedures for accurate billing.
• Engage in continuous learning through lectures, seminars, and readings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Day shift - 40 hours per week. 1 night per week call and 1 weekend per month call. Significant cath experience required for independent STEMI call.
