About the role

FT Cardiac Anesthesiologist opportunity to support our busy hospital-based practice in White Plains, NY. Our practice provides anesthesia services for a diverse case mix at White Plains Hospital and five Ambulatory Surgery Centers in the area. We work together in a care team model focused on giving everyone a voice, while supporting, respecting, and helping them to deliver care excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Case assignments: Mix of inpatient and outpatient cases in state-of-the-art, brand new operating rooms
  • Great variety of cases including general, OB, regional, vascular, cardiac, pediatrics, neuro and ortho; no transplant cases and no trauma
  • Cardiac and young pediatrics cases covered by the cardiac and peds team
  • Plenty of opportunity to expand your regional anesthesia skills
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician

Schedule

  • Low frequency of call as well as a very efficient peel off system
  • Recent enhancements include a Night Float Anesthesiologist for Labor and Delivery as well as a low frequency of overnight call

Pay

  • Salary: $600K
  • Clinical Specialty Stipend: $25k
  • Sign on Incentive: Up to $100K Sign On Package
